According to Tom Peck, Blitz Inc CEO, the responsibility of an organization's success ultimately falls on the leader's shoulders. Tom Peck (Blitz, Inc) states that having a great attitude and keeping things moving are the cornerstones of his company's success so far. This Blitz Inc review will focus on those the make or break attitude of the leader. This leadership style is know among employees as 'Blitz Leadership.'

Tom Peck: Blitz Leadership

Just as the name suggests, Blitz Leadership can be defined as an all out effort to attack a single goal, thereby creating a team win. Only by coordinating efforts towards this one goal (in football, this is usually referring to tackling the quarterback), can a team hope to get a turnover and get things going in their direction. "If one person on a football team is attempting to blitz the quarterback and the rest of the defense is hanging back or just keeping their ground, success is limited. By everyone attacking a single goal together, the team has a lot higher chances of success," says Tom Peck Blitz Inc CEO. To get everyone going in the right direction, our attitudes towards obstacles have to be unwaivering and determined, but it all starts with leadership.

Tom Peck (Blitz, Inc) on Controlling Your Thoughts to Achieve Success

How a person thinks will ultimately control their destiny. Ghandi said it best in the following quote, “Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.” Controlling your thoughts will ultimately control your emotions. Controlling your emotions will ultimately lead to making wiser decisions. Wiser decisions will ultimately lead to greater results. Tom Peck Blitz Inc CEO states that humans are the only living thing on the planet that has this control...the idea of self. We can control our thoughts - and ultimately our destiny.

Furthermore, Tom Peck believes that your attitude affect those around you more than you may think. If a person can be persuaded to do something just because a lot of other people are doing it, that same person can also be persuaded inadvertantly by others not doing something. People rub off on other people. At Blitz Inc, a lot of time goes into developing the staff to be solution oriented and to seek out resources to find answers to problems. This encourages and engages employees a lot more than getting involved in the old 'water cooler talk.'

Blitz Inc Reviews 'Standards'

Posted by Blitz Inc on November 4, 2012 at 7:50 PM Comments comments (0)

Do you run your company fairly loosely? Blitz Inc reviews standards and expectations in your company. Having ground rules lets employees know where they stand and how to rise above. Welcome to the first installment of the Blitz Inc Review!

Blitz Inc Reviews 'Standards'

Having standards in your organization may seem like a very simple concept. However, you won't believe how many organizations and companies out there either don't have them, or don't stand by them. There needs to be a very standard set of expectations that everyone should follow. If not, identifying the top performers in your company may be very difficult. If there are no minimum standards, one person MAY look like they are contributing more than others - but are they even meeting the basic expectations of their position and/or job duties? Having standards alone won't necessarily help you or your company reach the next level, but it will keep sub-par performers from maintaining employment with you or your company.

So, if you don't have them...get them. Everyone should be on the same page with expectations. Attendance policies, production standards, etc. are what set the rules of the game. It's very easy to make the call when people do not meet the minimum expectations. The rules of the game do not and should not change with each player.

An employee at Blitz Inc comments on 'standards': "Back when we first got started, we sort-of just doing our best. Once we laid a firm foundation of standards, everyone (including the less-seasoned employees) seemed to rise to the occasion. We set an attendance/late policy that a couple of people tried to weasel around, but the management sent them home for the day. Needless to say, they were on time every day going forward." If someone in your company isn't adding value, they are slowing you down. Blitz Inc reviews standards on a bi-weekly basis with employees. This isn't to instill fear or anything, but it is to clearly communicate the expectations with everyone in the company. No one can say, "Well, I didn't know that." They did. Blitz Inc reviews standards frequently. For some additional tips on expectations and standards, be sure to visit Blitz Inc Reviews Advice from the Shark Tank.

Standards: A Blitz Inc Review

Expectations and standards can either motivate or demotivate a workforce pretty quickly. If you don't have them, you will demotivate. If you have them, you will motivate. If people don't know where they stand, the rules of the game aren't clear, and good employees won't know how to excel. This is primarily why we at Blitz Inc review standards drive performance.

After you have set the expectations and standards, you can then focus on promoting the right people to the right seats in your company. If you try to do so without having the set standards and expectations, it may create some anymosity between employees. You may even see an increase in employee performance like we have. :)
